Henry Wessel, Jr. is an American photographer noted for his often black and white photographs of plebian scenes in the American West. His famous use of a Leica with a 28mm lens and Tri-X film over all the years that he shot, lead to a deep understanding of how the light in his photographs would work with the subjects, film, and paper used to finally transmit his ideas.
